Hello,

I am a Spanish teacher in a small school in California. We are working on an inclusion unit, and we want to create a message where students will speak in different languages. Among them will be many of the languages that they speak at home and the Spanish that I teach.

I thought it was a lovely idea to also include the message in American sign language.

I have been searching, and I think I have almost all the signs to make the message, but I would like my message to be as close to reality.

If there were someone who did not mind filming a video saying my message in sign language so that I could teach it to my students correctly, I would be very grateful.

Thank you so much for your attention and participation.

	This is the message:
Hello, Welcome to (name of the school). A school where everyone is well received. Let's have fun together

	Thank you!

	Hi everyone,

I'm a textbook editor and we are working on a nursery level series that teaches English and introduces some ASL signs. I want to include a sign that expresses the idea of "baby tree" (a small, young tree) for a song they learn, but I wonder if combining the signs for "baby" and "tree" would be correct or could generate a completely different meaning through a compound concept. Appreciate any help you can give us on that :)

I was looking up the signs for DAWN and SUNRISE on handspeak.com, and discovered that they appear to be the same. I have two questions:

	1) Am I just missing a subtle difference in the signing between those two, or are they really the same?

	2) The difference between dawn and sunrise in my every day life is more than academic: I have certain things I have to do between dawn and sunrise. If I want to talk about that part of my my life in ASL, how might I differentiate between the signs for DAWN and SUNRISE?

There’s someone in my social circle that I would like to get to know better. Whenever I see her, we are always with a crowd of people, so I was racking my brain to come up with how to ask and get her attention. Among other things she is an ASL teacher... if I started signing to her I think she would be absolutely floored (and hopefully say yes!) I would like to sign to her:

”I would like to call you tomorrow, if that is okay.”

I’ll cover some more general words between now and then, but that’s how I’d like to ‘surprise’ her as it were. Thanks in advance!

Hello! I am new to sign language and very new to this forum. I have a question about a sign I learned in a „More About Me“ learning module on SignSchool. I will upload a video but in case I‘m not clear enough in signing it, it‘s basically the sign for „name“ but without tapping the fingers of the two hands together, and bringing the hands either towards oneself or towards the other person. For the former it’s supposed to mean „Name Me“ and with the later it’s „Name You“. I have the feeling that this is different from „My name is...“ or an unnecessary „your name is...“ but SignSchool doesn’t provide further context or clarification for the signs it teaches. Needless to say this forum will be very helpful to me.

	Thank you kindly!
