Hi everyone! I am in ASL level 3, and recently finished teaching a series of ten ASL classes at my local library. I did this in order to make the resources to learn available to my community, since there are so few actual classes that exist. I taught a variety of different signs, from emergency signs, to verbs, to food signs. It was a very rewarding experience, and I highly recommend anyone who is considering entering a career in ASL to try it out. Even just teaching the alphabet and basic conversation signs could make a huge difference. I am posting my powerpoints, and packets (which include pictures of all of the signs, crossword puzzles, and sentence practice for participants to take home) here, in the hopes that someone can use them to continue teaching themselves, or to teach their community some ASL.
