M Graham
Hi, I started learning ASL about a year ago from videos and a book. I am 67 years old, retired and wanted to learn a second language. Unfortunately, no one else in my life is interested and I don't have anyone to sign with. Best regards, Morris

M Graham
No idea. I started out with about 10 "Signing Time" videos with my 3-year-old granddaughter, then got a thirty-year-old Perigree Signing Dictionary and have watched a few Dr. Bill Vickers Lifeprint videos on YouTube. I am very slow "reading" someone fingerspell because I've not actually spent time "watching" other people sign. I tend to memorize a sign and have to go back and relearn it because I forget because I didn't use it. My granddaughter is now 4 1/2, and when I thought she was getting all stubborn about not wanting to sign, she surprised me by taking and interest in fingerspelling. grandpa :=)
AED
Oh, that's so cool! I was trying to get into an ASL class at my school, but I wasn't able to but for some reason my brother got in, so he just teaches me what he learned after school sometimes I'm a definite newbie too
