My name is Hally and I am a student at the University of Kansas studying to be an american sign language interpreter. I have recently finished ASL 2 and would love to practice signing with signers more advanced than I to learn and improve my skills as well as make friends and become involved in the deaf community! If you're interesting in chatting please feel free to say hi :)

Hello Hally,

Welcome to the group.  I lived in Lawrence for about 10 years and my daughter graduated from KU about 5 years ago.  I love the area.

I'd love to chat but I am an absolute infant when in comes to ASL.  I'd be mu-u-uch to slow for you.   So far, I've just been signing with myself and a couple of people on this site.  I'm going to get with a group next week I hope to start signing face-to-face with them to build up to a kindergarten level. 

Anyway - I just wanted to welcome you.

      Hi! I just started ASL today with great interest. As of now, I only know the basics including the alphabets, numbers 1-20, a few colors, and pronouns. Although I will only be learning on my free time, I still hope that I will be able to make friends here and learn together with them! 💙
