I was born hearing, and about the age of 3 I had been given a medication, that caused my eardrums to burst, resulting in full hearing loss in both ears, fully deaf. So my mother, and grandmother learned Sign to teach me, in which we all learned together as a family. I've since had surgeries, and now am currently hearing without the need of hearing aids. I have forgotten almost all of the Sign that I used to know after years of hearing, and I want to get back to my roots and re-learn Sign so I can reconnect with the community, and hopefully make new friends and give back; as I was once given.
