Hello, I am Rainbow (or at least that's my screen name). I came here so I could practice my ASL and speak to new people using the language as I learn more and more everyday. I am a college student studying to be an elementary school teacher. I love dogs, and really all animals and I looove to sign, I wish I knew all of it already and could speak fluently! Le me know if you ever want to video chat. :)

Rainbow, I'd be up for joining your Skype group if you put one together. I'm at jasonpettus on Skype, and you can either DM me here to talk more or email me at [email protected] I'm 50 and based out of Chicago, a late-deafened adult who's about two-thirds of the way through an online ASL 1 course right now, looking to practice with other beginners like myself.

    • Good afternoon. As many of us, I'm snooping around for online practice groups.  Unfortunately zoom / online works ideally for many of us, but as Covid wanes and groups are ending in favor of in-person, we are eager to hear about new groups (beyond those currently offered on Meetup.com (most of us belong to the main groups on there already)).  Sometimes opportunities are shared in smaller communities, so worth asking as our regular ones sadly decline.  It can be tricky with time zone differe
