Asking Someone on a Date

Recommended Posts

There’s someone in my social circle that I would like to get to know better. Whenever I see her, we are always with a crowd of people, so I was racking my brain to come up with how to ask and get her attention.   Among other things she is an ASL teacher... if I started signing to her I think she would be absolutely floored (and hopefully say yes!) I would like to sign to her:

”I would like to call you tomorrow, if that is okay.”

I’ll cover some more general words between now and then, but that’s how I’d like to ‘surprise’ her as it were. Thanks in advance!

Sorry for all the posts. I did some brief reading on sentence structure, I am reminded of my Russian studies where sentences can be very simple and order can determine emphasis. Obviously I will take anyone’s advice, but something like:

- Here too many people

- future you me dinner?

- tomorrow i call, okay?

Hi! Looks like you have some of ASL's structure already down 👏

You could sign: many people here wow.. you want leave? You, me dinner, us finish? (For a yes/no question: eyebrows raised, leaning forward slightly). This loosely translates to: There's too many people here, you wanna go and get dinner? Just the two of us?

Best of luck asking her out!

    • When searching for a good calculator app, specifically one that can handle calculations like the pythagorean theorem calculator angle https://calculatorprofessional.com/pythagorean-theorem-calculator, look for apps with high user ratings and robust features. Read reviews to see if other users mention its accuracy and usability for trigonometric calculations. This approach will help you find a reliable and user-friendly Pythagorean theorem calculator for angles.
    • Hi! I just started ASL today with great interest. As of now, I only know the basics including the alphabets, numbers 1-20, a few colors, and pronouns. Although I will only be learning on my free time, I still hope that I will be able to make friends here and learn together with them! 💙
