Communicating with signs in collegiate sports is one thing, but Stony Brook University athletes took it to another level. Nine football players and one track athlete, enrolled in the University's American Sign Language (ASL) class, welcomed Mill Neck Manor School for the Deaf students to the Stony Brook football field and campus. Students from Mill Neck visited and communicated with student athletes after football practice, asking questions and learning about what it’s like to be a Division I athlete.
