  1. Hi I'm Lisa, I have started to learn BSL during lockdown because way back when I was in primary school we had a couple of deaf children at the school and one of the teachers taught a signing class during break. Unfortunately this was the year before I moved to secondary school so I learnt very little. My nephew has downs and uses makaton, I think that BSL should be taught from a young age, as they say not everyone is going to go to a foreign country but anyone could end up deaf.

  2. Hi Jasmine, I am an NQT and although I haven't yet taught any Deaf/deaf children, I currently have a child with a severe hearing impairment and has a cochlear implant. I want to learn some BSL to further support him and any future students I have. 🙂
