    Good morning, 

     

    I am learning BSL to enhance my skills as a midwife and better support women with hearing loss throughout their care as it seems to be an area of lacking skills in the trust i work. I am also writing my dissertation on women with hearing loss in labour.

    Hello, 

     

    my name is kirsty. 

     

    I am a student midwife. I have an interest in sign language as we often struggle to communicate effectively with women with hearing loss and their families. 

    My mother is a teacher of the deaf and i have deaf friends, I am wanting to refresh my knowledge so am re visiting my BSL courses. 

    I also love cats, sea mammals and most of all my 7 year old son who is learning BSL too!
