I used to waitress in a restaurant in which a woman would eat every weekend, the only method of communication available with her was for her to write down her order. I always wanted to learn BSL so I could talk with her, she always came in alone.

Hi, my name is Zoe. I learnt basic signs when I was a teenager volunteering with a charity that supported children with disabilities, many of whom used BSL. I have wanted to become fluent ever since, but have not had the time to dedicate to learning. Furlough has given me the perfect opportunity to learn!
