  1. Hello How are you? I am good! My name is Lee-Ann I am 29 years old I live in England, London I work as a Teaching Assistant Thank you Bye
  2. Hi All, My name is Izzy, I am a secondary science teacher who has a fair few pupils who use BSL. We have our support but I decided I wanted to do more, I wanted to communicate 1to1 with these pupils and find ways that I can describe the world of science to them as I am more then aware BSL is even harder when science is brought in to it. I have a lovely year 7 pupil who each Friday tests my understanding of key words in science into BSL and then if I can put them in a sentence and he teaches me those with the help of one of the schools signers and I teach him the science! I have also been working through the online course and loving it, but sometimes I wish I could practice a little bit more with people as practice makes perfect, right? Look forward to getting to know some of you! Izzy
  3. Hello! My name is Amy and I live in the North West. I have always wanted to learn sign language (sounds so cliché, but true) from a young age. I actually learnt how to fingerspell the alphabet in primary school and I have never forgotten it. I've said to myself for ages that I must try and find a course and also enquired in work (I'm a receptionist in a GP Surgery) but unfortunately due to lockdown that has all been put on hold. So I thought I would try and find a course in the meantime that I could do that would give me a good head start and foundation if work do find me a course to go on too. I've just completed the third assessment and I am loving it! It's everything I wanted it to be! I'm looking forward to completing the course and starting to put it into practice, it's also going to be an amazing tool to help at work too! It would be great to meet some more of you lovely people who are at the beginning of your journey and chat, maybe even make some friends and practice BSL! Hope to hear back from at least someone! 😂 Stay safe ✌️ Amy
