I'm the service lead for an information and advice service at a Disabled Peoples Organisation in Preston. Prior to the awful situation we are in at the moment we decided it would be good for those of us with interaction with clients to learn BSL. Many of us are now working from home and our work patterns have changed dramatically, so now could be a good time to learn. I'm one of the lucky few that has to isolate for 12 weeks, so hopefully I should have a some command of the language by the time I am set free. 

My closest friend from my Uni days from over 20 years ago uses BSL as her first language, I've been promising her all this time that I will learn when I get time. I finally get to keep my promise.

      Hi, I'm learning  BSL, it is something  I've  always  been interested  in learning  sign language partly because  my son struggles to communicate sometimes  due to his Autism. Now a young boy has joined  our church and he is deaf and learning  to sign, I would  like to help him feel welcome.
