Practising by introducing my self

Hi everyone, hope you are all staying safe.

I wanted to have a go at practising my BSL by introducing my self a little bit.
Please feel free to give any tips if there is anything I don't do correctly.

Thank you,
Alice x

P.s. I had a little list in front of me as a reference for what I wanted to say, so excuse me if I keep looking over. Also I realise my face looks really red, but it's just the lighting and my acne :)

Love these! You're all definitely ahead of me although I figured out you were saying your favourite things. I just finished doing the Section 4 about animals, home, clothes, work and education. So although I have lots of vocab...I can't necessarily put lots of sentences together usefully. Will try and post one though when I feel confident to do so - speaking of, having just learnt the sign for 'self-confident' - it's one of my favourites!

Glad you understood me :) and thank-you for the reply- could understand it really clearly.

here's another if you want :)

And Ellie can't wait to see your introduction video- let us know your favorite animal within it :)

Hi Alice,

Great video! Hope you're well. I could understand your signs, just a few discrepancies here and there but will come with time and confidence.

A few tips from me:

- You don't need to use 'what' before everything - it is known as a rhetorical question so is better to use it here and there. For example, 'name, me, ellie' and nod your head.

- Also, when you sign age, the numbers should come from your nose and this therefore tells viewers that you are talking about your age.

Hope this helps, thank you 😃

Hi everyone.

So lovely to see the replies from you all so far :)

Laura, again thank you for another reply. I'm glad my signs are clear to you, and your signs are also clear so well done :D
I didn't quite understand the last few signs as I didn't recognise them or haven't learnt them yet , and if I'm correct you may have asked me a question, but again wasn't sure. Really sorry!

Ellie, glad to to hear your enjoying it. The signs are interesting as you go further along so I'm sure you'll love them.
'Self confidence' is also one of my favourite signs to do.
I look forward to seeing any video's you may like to record :)

Phoebe, again I'm glad the signs are clear to you also.
Thank you for the tips, they are very helpful :) I will keep these in mind when I'm
practising!

Stay safe,
Alice.
