Hello! my name is Becky, I  just started learning BSL last week and I have been really enjoying it so far.  I  noticed there are a few practice rooms on here that  have been empty whenever I have logged in. I wondered if anyone/ or a few of us would like to  "meet up" at a regular time each week to practice. Maybe one evening a week?. All of the Deaf clubs near me have closed down, so it would be lovely to have a place to practice and improve.

Hi Becky

That would be a lovely idea as I have trained before in BSL and have got a bit rusty and need to refresh my knowledge. I work with young people and in the community it is difficult to know when your skills are needed. This being Deaf awareness week made me feel I needed to carry on with my online course and try to get less rusty.

    • Hi, I have joined BSL as I am retiring very soon from Special needs teaching. I have used Makaton signing in my classroom for many years but would like to be able to sign to more people. I also think it will be good for stimulating my brain and I have already become very competitive with myself playing the spelling game!!
