I am currently carrying out research around this area. It would make a big difference if people could take their time to fill out this questionnaire after reading the consent form. I am teacher in training, currently writing a report on 'how can we implement sign language into mainstream school to promote inclusion'. parent questionaire.docx online consent letter.docx

I am 14 and  learning BSL in school and I am going to do my grade 1 exam. When BSL started in my school a lot of people wanted to learn it (90) however the number of people learning has now dropped to 10. I think the main reasons people stopped coming were time and commitment. The sessions are an hour and a half long and it is really difficult to focus for this long, also people felt that they had to come every single week. If BSL is taught in schools the sessions would need to be shorter.

      Hi my name is Emma and I am learning BSL from Australia. I have completed my Diploma of Auslan (Australian Sign Language) and have started learning BSL. If anyone is not a complete beginner and would like to practice that would be great! Australia is approx 9 hours ahead of London time...so hopefully we can find a suitable time:)

      Hi, I am new to this forum. I am currently doing an online on-demand course along with a friend. I studied modern languages many years ago and am really interested to learn BSL - it is such an interesting and expressive language. I am also deaf in one ear (since early childhood) so am conscious that my hearing could worsen at some point.
