Recommended Posts

Hi Kieran, Me again,

On this video you have the fingers pointing upwards but on the actually video you do them facing forwards? if forwards the sign is THINGS. If fingers upwards I do not know.

Thank you for the clarification Sue,

I did sign too high and pointing upwards, this is equivalent to shouting, personal space is to be respected, and movements kept minimal and precise to support the lip movement...

1&2 make the phrase 'same thing'

my guesses for number 4.... gut feeling... reactive.... above the belt, ?' I may be incorrect.

.... i mean, when i first started to learn I held my hands up really high, in the persons face. LOL I did pay for a lesson from a Signature tutor and she pointed this out to me straight away

Also twisting fists also means exams as well as colleague and would be understood after setting up the contex

Hi Kieran,

Try typing into google local deaf club/cafe in your local area and see if any come up. I have tried local to me. Many places are still closed due to lock down.

Best of luck

    • Hello, everyone! I started doing the level 1 course from British-sign, so far I'm having a lot of fun doing it! However, reinforced learning takes one topic already interesting & makes it a lot better, learning on your own is comfortable, sometimes slow, and can burn you out quickly, but working together helps a ton! I hope we can work together to achieve what we all want to do! ^^ My name is Ekito and I can hear, I am 18 and plan to learn more BSL after I finish this Level 1 course, the course at my own college is very expensive and they won't help me pay for it unfortunately, but I have alternatives to achieve what I want in life :)   Sorry I didn't record myself signing, I feel that I need to improve my fingerspelling & signing before showing myself haha, I also looked like I just woke up XD
