Hello, my name is Ken. I am a driving Instructor who is hard of hearing. I have started to learn sign language so that I can offer lessons to the deaf community as well as hearing. I also work as a volunteer on a heritage railway and we do get deaf people ride the trains, so it would be good to be able to tell them about the history and sights they can see from the train. So I have a long way to go to achieve that, but I have made a start.

Hi Ken, what heritage railway would that be then? .. Also glad to see your looking to expand your driving tuition to cater for the deaf community, I guess that will bring in a bit more custom for you and also make a few new friends along the way ..

    • I have always been really passionate about languages, and a few years ago I came across Christine Sun Kim Ted "The enchanting music of sign language" and it sparked my curiosity about SL. At that moment I knew nothing about it, I genuinely felt so surprised "how can it be that such a fascinating form of communication is so forgotten by the hearing folks???" A few years later after that (I had been working in improving and mastering my English), and especially since I am moving to Scotland i
