Hello, my name is Wendy, I am 46 and classed as disabled and unable to work, and one of my health problems is I am losing my hearing but the specialists do not know why, so due to the rapid loss of my hearing (going quicker the last year) myself and my daughter want to learn to sign, but the problem I have is due to having Fibromyalgia i get brain fog and memory isn't what it once was, but I am going to keep going and hope it all sinks in. I am looking forward to learning something new and excited to have this amazing tool at the end of my fingertips!!! and to be able to communicate with family, friends etc.  Its nice to meet you all.........xxxx

Dear Wendy,

I am attending a BSL INtroduction Course in Edinburgh and we have a girl who is 27 years old. She was diagnosed with a brain turmor at the age of 10 or so I think. She suffers from short term memory since then and she still catches up with basic signs and small talk. It helps her a lot to be filmed while she signs sentences or words and puts them together. Might be an idea for yourself, too.
