I'm Laura, I'm 24 and I live in Scotland. I've wanted to learn BSL for a wee while, and I saw the introductory course was available so decided to jump in! I work in a nursery and plan to go on to study speech and language therapy, so this will definitely be a worthwhile course. ☺️

I've wanted to learn BSL for a while for several reasons: partially because I would like to be able to communicate with Deaf people better in the workplace and partially to be more inclusive in social settings such as church.
Hi, I've wanted to learn BSL for a while but struggled to find an in-person course and then came across this online course which has been really good so far. I went to a primary school with a unit for hearing impaired children and learnt finger spelling there but 25+ years on and I still don't know much else!
hello! I decided to do a sign language course because I want to become a doctor and I think it's important to be able to communicate with anyone I come across to the best of my ability. I'm hoping to do an in person course at my collage to make my signing a bit better!
Thank you for sharing this, I happen to work in early years and currently sign using what I have learnt so far in BSL or Makaton. I can't wait to have a look at this site as I do work with a Deaf baby. ☺️💜
First timer who has just started to lean BSL. Look forward to using it proficiently to speak to people all over London, although I am a slow learner when it comes to language.
I started as I work in the law enforcement in London, and have found that our translators (on the phone) can help a lot with other spoken languages, but we struggle to communicate with the deaf. I'd like to change that and learn the language to be able to speak to people from those communities. With London being so diverse, I'd like to take a small step in making communication easier.
