Hi al, just wanted to check if anyone is finding a lot of variations between this learning platform and local signing?

I understand there are regional variations but are they completely or just slightly different from on here?

I'm in N. Ireland and find quite a few differences in the way some words are signed and the order in which they are signed.

i.e. ( Name - You - What) vs (What is your name?)

(I've just finished lesson 3 so maybe this is explained later)

      Hello all, I'm a newbie to BSL, and looking forward to learning a new language.  I learned Makaton and was a teacher for children with SEN/D for a number of years. My grandmother taught me how to fingerspell when I was quite young- and its great to revise the skill. Brenna

      I am a student nurse and I feel I should know more than just spoken and written English. I would like to be able to communicate better with any patients I have in the future who use BSL themselves. My children get taught some signing at school so I should also be learning so I can help them learn further.
