Hi, I hope I’m doing this right? I’m brand new to BSL. I am disabled and use a wheelchair and I’ve noticed that some deaf people appear to approach me feeling safer or more understood in a group, to find someone else with disabilities or impairments. Please do correct me of I use the wrong language? But it has spurred me on to learn BSL as I do believe it should be a language offered at school and I am disappointed to see examination boards reject the idea. I thought I should put my effort where my mouth is and learn it myself. I am finding it great fun and very intuitive! Unlike Greek or Spanish languages I’ve learned in the past!
Thank you all for being here. ☺️

I'm doing LVL1 and 2 at the same tim.

I started in September, but I learned a lot in first few weeks as I was working with a deaf student, and managed to make a quick progress.

You?
