Hi everyone!

Recommended Posts

Hello, my name is Rosie I'm in my last year of secondary school and I'm currently learning BSL whilst in lockdown.

I'm learning BSL because I'd like to expand my knowledge of the language and as I'm going to train to become a Paramedic knowing sign language will make communication a lot easier whilst I'm dealing with patients who use sign language.

So far I've just learnt the basics but my interest in BSL has increased greatly and I can't wait to learn more!

    • I love languages and work in Diversity and Inclusion work for an LGBT charity, and so wanted to combine my love of languages with being inclusive, which led me to sign language. I hope that I will be able to learn to sign clearly and well and that this skill will aid me in learning how to create inclusive spaces for Deaf and signing people.
