Hello, my name is Emma. I am new to BSL but have been practising Signalong for a long time now. I currently work as a Teaching Assistant supporting children with additional needs. My reason for starting this course is that I am seeing an increasing number of children in my setting that are Deaf or have profound hearing difficulties and I want to promote inclusivity and help open a doorway to these children.
Hey everyone! I'm Lydia.
I'm very new to BSL too, my main reason for starting is that I'm a paediatric nurse and some of the children I look after use BSL so it will be beneficial and useful to be able to communicate through BSL to the child rather than talking to the parents.
How's everyone finding it at the minute?
Hey! My name is Lydia, I'm 21 and a paediatric nurse. I'm wanting to learn BSL to communicate with children who use sign language. I also live in Lancashire. Also love binge watching tv shows haha!! Need a few friends to start my BSL journey with too.
Hi everyone.
Nice to meet you all. There's such an interesting range of people here. At the moment I am overseas working as an assistant professor but I'll be coming back to the UK in the summer and I want to be able to communicate with any deaf people that I meet.
