Hi All

My name is Ellen. i'm currently on furlough from my job and thought now was the perfect time to learn BSL which is something that i have always wanted to do....no excuses of having no time! When not on furlough I am a receptionist and administrator for a charity.

I'm also a Girlguiding Volunteer working with Guides (10-14 yr old) and Rangers (14-18 yr old). and would love to make both my units even more accessible if/when we ever need to.

I have literally just completed lesson 1 and am loving it already. May have got a little competitive with myself on the fingerspelling game...will continue to practice with that though having seen some of the amazing scores on that!

  As I am HoH and even with hearing aids I have difficulty understanding people. So I’m learning to help myself and hopefully I can teach my partner and friends. Hopefully eventually I can find more people like me.

  Hi I’m Ami-May. I am HoH.. severe hearing loss in left ear and profoundly deaf in right ear. I wear hearing aids. I’m learning BSL for myself so I can communicate better with my partner and friends and hopefully they learn along side me.

  Hi ! Iam Karen , I would like to join your forum and possibly work with some other people. I decided to do BSL because I needed to exercise my hand and I wanted to do something that was more interesting than just exercising, and I thought BSL might help me with someone if they were deaf.
