Hello, I am Graeme and I am currently completing the course 'Introducing British Sign Language' via British-sign.co.uk.

I grew up around the deaf community in Walsall from a very young age. My Nan was Deaf and my grandfather was Deaf/Blind. I spent large amounts of my childhood with them. My Dad being a CODA was also a fluent signer and was a social worker for the deaf community in Whitehaven, Derby & Walsall. Sadly since their passing in '02 & '05 - I lost my signing skills. I am an actor by trade and worked with Definitely Theatre in 2012 and made friends with many great deaf actors but when talking to them I realise how my signing skills are lacking and more of an old fashioned hybrid of BSL & SSE.

I'm still a total beginner but I'm hoping to pick it up:)
