Hi! A little about me :)

You're name is Phoebe, You are 20. The weather is windy and sunny (I haven't covered weather yet but guessing/lip-reading). Your family consists of your dad - Ian, Mum - Jenny, sister - Larissa?, boyfriend - Oscar.

I really like how you used the Listing approach to identify the members of your family. I'm struggling to get my head around when/the best way to do this!😄

    • I have always wanted to learn BSL and love learning new languages generally. I learnt to fingerspell at a young age and have always wanted to learn more. I now work across a number of primary school working with children with SEN including HI and those who are pre-verbal and sign as their main form of communication, so I would like to be able to interact with them more.

    • Hi everyone! I'm learning BSL for a couple of reasons. Firstly, I've always been fascinated with Sign Language - it's such a complex, beautiful and expressive language and has a brilliant community to go along with it. I've been trying to learn on and off for a few years but wasn't ever able to put aside enough time to commit to it! But now I've joined a group in my congregation who teach it, and it's been so much fun to learn together! Even through this pandemic we've been able to continue
    • Hi everyone! I'm Catherine and have just finished studying at Glasgow University. Sign language is something I always wanted to learn and now I have plenty of time to do it so I decided to sign up to an online course and am loving it! I feel sign language is such a great skill to learn because it can help you to be a more inclusive person and I think it is important to be aware of the means of communication in the deaf community. There is a man at my church who communicates using BSL and I alway
