Introducing Me

Recommended Posts

I'm Lucy, I am currently studying at university, Education with SEND, I signed up to this course during my time in lockdown, I though this is a great way to spend my time. I have always wanted to learn BSL, so now was a prime time to do it! I hope that it gives me the opportunity to connect/communicate with people in the non-hearing community.

I am still very new i have only learned as far as fingerspelling, numbers, greetings, places and jobs but i am enjoying every minute of it. I hope to be able to interact with you all :)

Sentence structure as follows - "Hello Anja" "Nice meet you" "Name me what - Jeet" "Your question" "Try this" "Give, mobile phone, please" Happy for anyone to come in and correct any of the above, i only got my certification last week Friday.
    • Hi everyone I’m Charlotte I work in retail and while we have been furloughed I thought I would use my time to learn basic sign language so that I can serve all of my Customers as at the moment it must be difficulty hard of hearing customers as we have no one that can sign

    • Hi all, I decided to sign up for this course since I have some previous experience of learning BSL (at Uni) and wanted to refresh my memory.  In the past few weeks I have met two Deaf people in my area (which is quite rare) and when I met them I wanted to be able to say more than I already know/could remember from previous study. I really enjoy learning BSL and find I remember new signs quite easily. The covid lockdown has provided the perfect time for some accelerated study!
