Introducing myself

Recommended Posts

Hello! My name is Jess and I have always wanted to learn BSL. I was taught the alphabet and how to say my name when I was at primary school and have remembered it to this very day! The lockdown gave me the push to find this course and finally start learning. I’m a little late posting this as I am now on my last lesson but I wanted to put some of what I’ve learnt into practice as it’s hard to do sentences when you have no one around you who understands BSL.

I am a professional dancer and also a dance teacher and I think this is a wonderful thing to learn because you never know when you may meet someone who relies on BSL to communicate and it opens up the communication between hearing and non hearing.

I’ve attached a little video of myself practicing introducing myself. I hope everyone is enjoying their course also.
