Good evening,

Really want to learn to sign this song but I am not sure on how to translate the lyrics into BSL. Any help much appreciated :)

Lyrics below -

One love, one heart
Let's get together and feel all right
Hear the children crying (One love)
Hear the children crying (One heart)
Sayin', "Give thanks and praise to the Lord and I will feel all right
Sayin', "Let's get together and feel all right
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa

Let them all pass all their dirty remarks (one love)
There is one question I'd really love to ask (one heart)
Is there a place for the hopeless sinner
Who has hurt all mankind just to save his own?
Believe me

One love, one heart
Let's get together and feel all right
As it was in the beginning (one love)
So shall it be in the end (one heart)
Alright, give thanks and praise to the Lord and I will feel all right
Let's get together and feel all right

One more thing
Let's get together to fight this Holy Armageddon (one love)
So when the Man comes there will be no, no doom (one song)
Have pity on those whose chances grow thinner
There ain't no hiding place from the Father of Creation

Sayin', one love, one heart
Let's get together and feel all right
I'm pleading to mankind (one love)
Oh, Lord (one heart) whoa
Give thanks and praise to the Lord and I will feel all right
Let's get together and feel all right
Give thanks and praise to the Lord and I will feel all right
Let's get together and feel all right

Okies so amongst doing work and looking after a 6 year old daughter whos intelligence is waaaay beyond mine I have translated the lyrics to what I think would be a best fit. Let me know your thoughts (first verse left out as already signed it), translation into sign in bold -

Let them all pass all their dirty remarks (one love)

Let them make all dirty remarks/comments (one love)

There is one question I'd really love to ask (one heart)

One question I really love ask (one heart)

Is there a place for the hopeless sinner

Place for the desperate sinner

Who has hurt all mankind just to save his own belief?

Who hurt whole mankind to save their own belief

One love, one heart

Let's get together and feel all right

As it was in the beginning (one love)

Like in source

So shall it be in the end (one heart)

Same in end

Alright, give thanks and praise to the Lord and I will feel all right

Let's get together and feel all right

One more thing

Let's get together to fight this Holy Armageddon (one love)

Lets start together to fight religious end

So when the Man comes there will be no, no doom (one song)

When  man come, no no D O O M

Have pity on those whose chances grow thinner

Sympathy for them who chance

There ain't no hiding place from the Father of Creation

No hide from father creation/universe

Sayin', one love, one heart

Let's get together and feel all right

I'm pleading to mankind (one love)

Please humankind

Oh, Lord (one heart) whoa

Almighty

Give thanks and praise to the Lord and I will feel all right

Let's get together and feel all right

Give thanks and praise to the Lord and I will feel all right

Let's get together and feel all right

    • For myself and my team we are all hearing, it is taken for granted to such an extent. When I started working in my building we had a deaf visitor come in and I was unable to converse with her which made me feel unable to do my job in helping her, I didn't know how to ask simple things and did not want to offend her, she very kindly wrote down what she needed to ask me but it shouldn't have to be that way. We want to be able to be inclusive in our building to the best of our abilities and so this
    • Hello everyone 👋 my name is Courteney and I work in London. Me and my team on reception are doing the introductory sign language course to be more inclusive of our deaf visitors. But I've got to say Courteney is an awfully long name to fingerspell, nickname suggestions anyone?!
    • Hi! I'm learning BSL as i myself am deaf and i never had the opportunity growing up to learn sign language. only the past 3 years have i met more and more people in the deaf community and i've finally decided to try BSL out for myself. As much as i'm able to follow along with watching conversations being conversed in sign language i would love to communicate more and understand for myself some signs.
    • Thank you so much. I have just started the Introduction to BSL course online. I'm so pleased you had a positive experience with your midwives. Good luck with your level 1 course xx
    • Love this - what a twist on perception and so true.  I wish BSL was taught in schools!
    • Hi Natalie, I really admire you training to be a midwife.  The midwives I had with my daughter were incredible! Are you on a BSL course?  I'm doing level 1. Laura
    • Hi Debbie, How far have you got with your learning?  Are you enjoying it as much as I am?  It's fascinating! Laura
    • Hi everyone, I am thrilled to have found this site.  It was recommended by a classmate on my BSL course. I am loving the finger spell game and would love to practise my signing.  I have only completed 101 so am very much a beginner but I am keen to get signing.  I guess it's like learning a foreign language, the more you emerse yourself in it, the more confident you become.  I haven't quite figured out how this site works yet but would be great to arrange some chats!
