Introducing Myself

Hi I'm Maya and I'm 21 years old. My mum is a LSA in a special needs school and did a sign language course years ago and I was really interested in learning it then but never gotten around to it. I think it's a really important skill to learn as it can be used in a variety of different contexts, and allows communication with those that sometimes speech isn't the most effective. I honestly think it should be taught as a compulsory subject in schools! I'm taking this course to expand my skillset and so I can use BSL in the future where the situation calls for it.
