Hi I am Kelly and I am very new to signing. I decided to take the course finally as it is something I have always wanted to learn. I have two aunties that are deaf and even though they both lip read I would like to be able to converse with them in sign. As well as this I am a health care assessor and think this would be something very worthwhile to my job role. I only wish that I had undertaken this course much sooner than now. I do find it slightly difficult learning as I am left handed but I'm getting my head around it slowly.

Any tips or helpful hints are always welcome

  As I am HoH and even with hearing aids I have difficulty understanding people. So I’m learning to help myself and hopefully I can teach my partner and friends. Hopefully eventually I can find more people like me.

  Hi I’m Ami-May. I am HoH.. severe hearing loss in left ear and profoundly deaf in right ear. I wear hearing aids. I’m learning BSL for myself so I can communicate better with my partner and friends and hopefully they learn along side me.

  Hi ! Iam Karen , I would like to join your forum and possibly work with some other people. I decided to do BSL because I needed to exercise my hand and I wanted to do something that was more interesting than just exercising, and I thought BSL might help me with someone if they were deaf.
