i'm jamie 😁i i hope this comment finds you well!!

i'm originally from south wales but i'm a full-time student at the university of bristol in my first year of childhood studies. i enjoy reading, art, anime and kpop. i knew some signs before joining, as for two years i worked with children with special needs and its because of that i started the sign language course. i wanted to broaden my knowledge and grasp it more to be able to support others.

      Hi, I'm a musician and artist and learning BSL to improve my communication skills and start the process of developing performances/artwork/events that are suitable and interesting for both D/deaf and hearing audiences/artists. Learning BSL online seemed like a good place to start and a way to connect with people. I co-direct an experimental sound festival based in the Midlands and we would like to develop some new work with D/deaf and hearing artists to make multi-media performances/artworks.  I

      I'm a student nurse and realise that some may need a nurse who understands BSL. Learning sign also encourages inclusivity and diversity. It's good to chat to people from all walks of life.

      I have grown up with my sisters, and one is profoundly deaf so i have always been able to sign from a young age. Signing with my sister and family members has been fine and a good way of communication. However, when at work ( i work as a manager in a restaurant) i have always found it difficult to use sign with other people as i get nervous (it doesn't stop me). I would love to become more confident and one day become an interpreter so i can help people and grow my skills.
