Hello!

Hi! My name is Julia, and I live in London. I'm learning sign language because I love learning languages, and I also think that the more people that know sign language, the better! I am looking forward to being able to communicate and connect with more people. I've recorded this video and realised I forgot to do the lip pattern, so that's something I should definitely work on!

Hello Julia!

Nice to meet you! Great signing! It's hard to get used to putting it all together isn't it? But really great job so far, I understood it all! As you can see, I forget all my lip pattern too! Haha!  How far along in the course are you? Speak soon? Take care and stay safe :)

    • Hello, My name's Lucy and I used to be a learning support assistant to young adults with special educational needs. I used to sign to some of the students using Makaton, basic BSL and Signalong. I achieved a certificate in Signalong but would like to learn BSL to a high standard. I have now started a new job so it's hard to practice it with others. I'm based in Manchester.
    • Hey I'm DJ!  I'm very new to BSL but it is something I'm having a great time learning and would love to be able to practice in real life (I don't have anyone in my life that knows or uses BSL). I'm in Hungerford but happy to travel in the areas in and around Swindon/Newbury frequently.  Feel free to chat with me if you might be interested!

    • I have taken this up as I have some hearing difficulty gradually getting worse and also feel it will help in my work environment.
    • Hi all, I am Police Community Support Officer and hope to develop sign language to allow me to communicate with others who rely on the skills of BSL.
    • Fingers crossed
    • Hi everyone. Name me what, Jeff. I've been basic signing for about 10 years now after getting a basic lesson from the company that I used to work for. My aim now, is to become fully competent within BSL and gain a qualification, and then look for any kind of employment that relates to BSL.
