Hi all,

Learnt bsl in school years ago and have recently got back into it after being asked to make BSL jewellery as a part of my business.

Looking to join a course to learn more than just finger spelling. Any advice on where to look?

I am the only person in the uk doing handstamped bsl jewellery (i had to get the font set custom made and currently no one else does it)

Thanks

Sarah

It was awkward and offensive to watch a person in a stressful situation left without help just because there was no necessary communication channel. Since then, I have become more interested in how medical support for people with hearing impairments is organized. It turned out that there are websites and services, such as FMRQ customer service ,
    • hello my name is Claire, I have only just started BSL. i have always wanted to learn but only now realised you can do little bits online. if anyone has any tips for learning and practising that would be great. I'm also trying to get my family involved when it comes to learning. we had to learn little bits when my child was diagnosed with a speech disorder but it didn't go into as much depth as this , it was more for favourite toys and snacks and drink.

There are a number of deaf students in my school and I feel like it is an excellent skill to have. So far I’m finding it a bit of a challenge but really fun! I’ve started following a few BSL Instagram influencers too and try and practice every day. Looking forward to learning more! Any recommendations very welcome!
