Hello everyone,

My name is Joanne and i am a hearing person.  I have recently become a widow and wanted to do something that would be worth while, useful and keep me occupied.

I am employed in primary care and noted our practice doesn't have anyone who can sign.  I additionally live in an area that, doesn't have readily available interpreters' and it is a difficult process, sometimes we have to wait weeks, to get a booking with the attendee having to travel quiet a distance to us.  Thus causing delay for the patient.

My learning of BSL is not public knowledge to others, other than you all on here, at least until i am able to proficiently help someone who may need me.

I am not looking to learn this for financial gain, but to be able to reassure and help if possible.

Thank you for reading.
