Why am I learning sign language?

I am learning sign language because I think it is a beautiful way to communicate with other people, without the use of sound, but just really paying attention to people when they are signing.

  I'm hearing and I'm very much a beginner to ASL. Currently, I'm taking online courses. But, I want to practice conversation with people and haven't been able to practice beyond the interactions I've had at work.
