I’m Jane and I started to lose my hearing when I was about 28 after I had my children. I have hearing aids and I work as an optometrist. It has been very difficult with everyone wearing face masks but I have just discovered my hearing has deteriorated further. I am 50 now and have started learning sign language in case I can’t work any more. Perhaps it will give me more options and make more friends too.
