My name's Joanne. I learnt BSL many years ago (level 1) as I wanted to communicate with a Deaf colleague. I wanted to continue to learn it but there wasn't any Level 2 courses so I didn't continue with it but I still found it extremely interesting and wanted to take it up again. I struggle with talking sometimes, so if I could sign to my family instead of talking, that would be beneficial. I also have a very slight hearing issue, problems in crowds or with lots of people talking or making noise, so if I could sign, I wouldn't have an issue communicating to my family.
