I’m a hearing person, I started learning BSL in secondary school > college mostly just for myself, since I don’t actually know anyone else who uses sign language so I’m learning mostly for myself. I learn so I can communicate with more people in the future! I’m also autistic and sometimes have nonverbal moments, I’m hoping that learning sign will let me ‘speak’ during them and that I’ll also be able to teach my friends some vocab so that they can better help me. 💕
