How would I ask what is the BSL sign for a particular word?
I'm guessing that I would need to finger spell the word itself but how would I sign "What is the sign for.......?" or "How do I sign....?
TIA

Hi. My name is Buffy. I am an autistic lady who is now in her mid 40s. Although I can hear and have verbal communication I tend to talk an awful lot as I am unable to filter out the things that aren't really important. The way that my brain understands conversation is also different. Most of it just goes over my head and I end up bluffing it!
I already use the Relay UK service for my phone calls as trying to handle a phone call is a really stressful experience
A friend introduced me to BSL and invited me to try it. Although I didn't know much I couldn't believe how calm and relaxed speaking with my hands made me feel. I did not feel the usual "barriers" to communication that I felt with talking and listening.
Although I only know a few signs I have learnt the alphabet so I can finger spell. I am really excited to learn more and I am hoping to learn more from a forum such as this one

Hi
Does anybody know the sign for Wetherspoon's please?
I am still early in my BSL journey so I am making some flashcards to describe common things about me just in case I get stuck trying to sign it
It is a bit of a long word to fingerspell so I was wondering if there is an official sign for it.
I have experimented with a few possible combinations
W
W S
W + spoon
Weather + spoon
TIA
