I am learning BSL as I would like to be more inclusive and being disabled I know how important it is to be understood and communicated with in a way that feels comfortable. I am going into a career where I will talk to many people (veterinary nursing) and I am sure that at some point during my career I will be able to use BSL (once I am more confident with it) to help someone feel more comfortable which is so important when in a difficult situation.

Hi, my name is Lucy and I am 18. I have just finished my A-levels and always want to do my best to help others. I have a keen interest in animals, art and I enjoy doing puzzles and hiking in nature (although I am not very fast 😂) I am hopefully going to uni in September to do Veterinary nursing, Which I am looking forward to. I am really enjoying the course and feel that it will help me in my future career be the most inclusive and understanding that I can be.
