Hiya, my name's Ash and I've wanted to learn BSL for years now and after looking up random signs on the internet I thought doing a proper course sounded good so I started a beginners course. I am not deaf myself but I am also known for my questionable hearing as I sometimes find it tough to hear what others are saying, especially in a loud area, I also have a deaf grandmother but she does not sign. I've always enjoyed using non verbal forms of communication as sometimes I find it a bit tough to express myself verbally, being neurodivergent. I hope to be able to use this to practice with people and talk to people who also want to learn as there are no in person groups anywhere near me, living in a very rural part of Britain.
