Hello everyone, my name is Amy and I am 34 years old from London. I have been working in a primary school as a Teaching Assistant for a little while now and am really enjoying it. In the future I would like to work in a school for special needs children or a school which has a provision for special needs children. I've have completed a few online courses and I have chosen to take this course to able able to communicate with children who are deaf or have hearing impairments. I think British Sign Language should be taught and used in schools, therefore I am going to teach my self so I can implement this is my schools settings. I am really enjoying the course so far, its really fun and not as hard as I thought it would be. Looking forward to expanding my knowledge to be able to communicate with everyone regardless of differences. I am also looking forward to using my sign language in the classroom alongside my Teachers input sessions to help our young children learn BSL.
