Sign language is something that I've never had to use and I wanted to challenge myself, to develop new skills, ready for returning to work as a teaching assistant and, in fact, in life in general. I think it will be a great skill to have. 

Hi, my name is Sharon and I'm a post primary teaching assistant. Having completed all work assigned to me during lockdown I was encouraged to develop new skills. I have previously worked with many different disabilities and over the years have acquired a wide range of qualifications. However, I have never worked with a deaf child, or known much about sign language. I've found it so interesting the past few weeks and look forward to continuing my learning over the summer.
