I’m a first year student midwife (career change later in life), I’m 37, married, and I have 2 children (5 and 1)
I learnt some sign language as a girl as a friend of a friend of mine was deaf. And since then I’ve also used Makaton when working as a teaching assistant in a school for children with special needs. I’ve always thought it such a beautiful language and wanted to learn properly. So I’m now starting out.
