My name is Ellie. I have wanted to learn sign language for a long time. I have been deaf in one ear most of my life and have left it far too long. I was inspired to start learning during lockdown and sadly didn't get very far. Recently I am inspired by Rose on Strictly to get on with it. It is a beautiful language and so useful. I work in the Arts with children who struggle to communicate and I feel passionately that it would really help everyone.
