Hi, I’m Maggie,

I have just started learning bsl.  I tried learning through another site but didn’t find there was much guidance so now using the course here which is much better.

i am currently on furlough leave and thought I’d like to start doing all the things I’ve always wanted to do.  I work in a coffee shop and I always feel embarrassed that I don’t have the skills to communicate with people with hearing impediments.  I was deaf myself until I was 5 and could myself have been in that position so I feel it’s all the more important to have that skill. 

So far I’m quite surprised how much I’m picking up.  I do a little every day and hope I manage to keep it all in my head.
