Hi everyone, 

My name is Stef, I have been hearing impaired since I was a very young child. I am fortunate to have good enough hearing in one ear to be able to hear enough to get by, but with my condition and with many others, it has the potential to deteriorate so I have plucked up the courage to begin a new language. To prove the point, that you can teach an old dog new tricks!

I have always wanted to learn sign, I have always found myself fascinated by the grace and speed of fluent signers, and found the language fascinating. With the current global pandemic and finding a lot more time on my hands, I have plucked up the courage to begin the course!

      Hi  everyone, this is my first post on the forum.  I work as part of the Front of House Team in a theatre and I am interested in learning some sign language to be able to communicate more easily with the many members of the deaf community who come to the theatre. So far I am doing ok in the comfort of my own home but under pressure I get flustered.  Does anyone else find the same problem? I think a lot is down to constant repetition and practice.

      Hello everyone 🙂 I'm Layne. I am about to take my BSL202 and BSL203 at the start of next week 😬 I luckily passed BSL201 last week 😌 I am based in India so it is tricky to find people to practice with. If anyone is up super early in the UK and looking for someone to converse with I am 5.5 hours ahead so will be around! Thank you 🙏
