Good morning everyone, 

 

My name is Chloe and I am also learning sign language. I was previously doing a class roomed based course, but then my anxiety got the better of me so I stopped waaaay to soon! 

 

I wanted to learn sign language because when I worked in retail their was always this lovely deaf couple (with a hearing dog) who would go out of their way to try and communicate with me, and I wanted to be able to communicate with them, on terms that they understood. 

 

I am hoping to have a a career where I can use this language to help others!

      Hi  everyone, this is my first post on the forum.  I work as part of the Front of House Team in a theatre and I am interested in learning some sign language to be able to communicate more easily with the many members of the deaf community who come to the theatre. So far I am doing ok in the comfort of my own home but under pressure I get flustered.  Does anyone else find the same problem? I think a lot is down to constant repetition and practice.

      Hello everyone 🙂 I'm Layne. I am about to take my BSL202 and BSL203 at the start of next week 😬 I luckily passed BSL201 last week 😌 I am based in India so it is tricky to find people to practice with. If anyone is up super early in the UK and looking for someone to converse with I am 5.5 hours ahead so will be around! Thank you 🙏
